Simple, step-by-step guides to set up ad blockers on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. No technical knowledge required.
Ad blockers do more than just remove annoying ads
Malicious ads can install viruses and malware on your device. Ad blockers prevent these threats.
Websites load 2-5x faster without heavy ads, videos, and tracking scripts.
Block trackers that follow you across websites and collect your personal data.
Ads can consume up to 50% of your mobile data. Block them and save money.
Enjoy content without pop-ups, auto-playing videos, or clickbait distractions.
Less processing means your device's battery lasts longer.
Without an ad blocker, it's hard to spot fake "Download" buttons that lead to malware. Real download buttons are usually small and text-based, while fake ones are large and colorful.
Select your device to get started with the setup guide

Enable these:
For each extension, tap it and set "All Websites" to "Allow".

In the app, make sure "Safari protection" is turned ON (green toggle).

Two great options: Browser-only or System-wide protection
Firefox is one of the few mobile browsers that supports ad-blocking extensions. This method blocks ads only in Firefox browser.
Tap the three dots ⎠icon in the top-right corner of Firefox.
In the menu, tap "Add-ons" (or "Extensions").
Scroll through the recommended add-ons and find "uBlock Origin".
Tap the "+" icon next to uBlock Origin.
Tap "Add" when asked for permissions.
Ads are now blocked in Firefox! Set Firefox as your default browser for ad-free browsing everywhere.
đĄ Tip: Go to Settings â Apps â Default apps â Browser app â Firefox
AdGuard must be downloaded from their website (not Play Store) because Google doesn't allow system-wide ad blockers in the Play Store.
When prompted, allow your browser to install apps. This is safe for official AdGuard downloads.
Open the downloaded file and tap "Install".
Launch the AdGuard app and follow the setup wizard.
Toggle the main protection switch ON. AdGuard will create a local VPN to filter traffic.
âšī¸ This VPN is local only - your traffic doesn't go through any external servers.
AdGuard will now block ads in Chrome, games, apps, and everywhere else!
